About Our Wonderful Location

Jicaral (pronounced hí-câ-ral) is a natural and majestic township in beautiful Costa Rica.

With very friendly local residents and all the necessities, Jicaral is an unspoiled vacation destination. A modern local hospital provides excellent health-care and currently is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation and addition. Other necessities such as two schools, supermarkets and gas stations complete the modern picture and augment this tropical destination with the creature-comforts you are accustomed to. Other benefits such as tax friendly government regulations make Costa Rica a wonderful place to call home.

Our development is a short 10 minute walk to town of Jicaral. An entire mountain that overlooks the town and has breathtaking views of the entire Gulf of Nicoya. Surrounded by melon and pineapple farms and teakwood forests, the property is truly a natural oasis. Exotic bochote hardwoods and other unique tropical vegetation are located right on the property. Need a little water in your life? A beautiful and unspoiled beach (Playa Coyote) is a short ½ hour drive from the property.

We are developing the entire mountainside, from a raw and unspoiled landscape to a livable habitat. Our main goal is to keep the natural setting and build homes that fit into and work with the environment. We don't want to ruin what makes this place so wonderful so careful planning and painstaking building efforts are being taken to create an unspoiled and natural place to live.

Another added value is the general betterment of the entire area. Situated right at the heart of the Gulf of Nicoya, our location is excellent. The president of Costa Rica has made it his personal project to see to the betterment of roads throughout the country and this promise is coming-to-life in our area as the roads into the area are now comparable to US roadways. Jicaral boasts the support services and comforts of any small town, including a newly expanded hospital. The general value in our area will also increase due to the plans to build a new marina only a short distance away from Royal Heights.

Starting from a clean slate, we are developing a 1.5km roadway that leads up the mountain being careful to maintain a peaceful balance with the natural scenery. All key services, such as city water, sewer and electric, are being installed all the way up the mountain-side. Plans call for a dozen or-so condos at the bottom of the mountain and residential housing with very large lots as you progress upward. We want to accentuate the fact that you are in a tropical paradise, so we are being very careful to build nice size homes with large natural lots.
